This 300 year old, stone built lead miner’s cottage, furnished in traditional style, has been refurbished and extended to provide an outstanding level of comfort and also innovative environmental practices. Ninebanks achieved a gold award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Catering is available by prior arrangement with the hostel. We offer home cooked local food with a range of menus, prices and times to suit our guests. Well-equipped, self-catering kitchen. Kitchen contains 2 large domestic sized ovens, 8 gas burners, microwave, 2 grills, fridge and freezer, toaster, kettles and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery, also children’s crockery and highchair. Tea towels are provided. Local beers and good wines are available.
28 beds arranged in 2x3 (double bed with single over) 2x4, 1x8 all en-suite and 1x6 with private shower room. Cot and baby bath are available. All bed linen is provided and beds made up ready for you.

The lounge is a lovely relaxing space with stone floors, log burners and beams, overlooking the valley. There is no TV reception but we do have an extensive range of books and games to keep you entertained during your stay. Logs for the log burner are provided so you can relax and get cosy!
The dining room is a large airy room big enough to seat 30 people or with tables pushed to one side is a great party venue. French doors open onto a patio with picnic tables and BBQs.
All rooms have private or en-suite shower rooms. Please bring your own towels.
YHA Ninebanks welcomes dogs! Add a dog to your booking at check out and bring your four legged friend along with you.
There is central heating, payphone and a garden. Laundry and drying room facilities are available.
The garden has some seating, a BBQ and a picnic table. You will need to bring your own charcoal (and don't forget the burgers!) if you are planning to have a barbecue during your stay.
