A great choice for large family holidays and activity breaks, YHA Beer is a beautiful stone country house built as part of the Arts & Crafts Movement. Right on the edge of the fishing village of Beer, you can try your hand at mackerel fishing and swim in the sea at the nearby beach.
Ideal for walking holidays, you can follow the South West Coast path for a seaside ramble or go on an educational fossil hunt at nearby Lyme Regis or Charmouth as Beer is located on the Jurassic Coast. The property boasts gorgeous original features like its large multi-paned windows and parquet flooring, but the accommodation itself is comfortable and contemporary.
Surrounded by its own stunning grounds, there is plenty of exploring to do without even leaving the Youth Hostel!
The self-catering kitchen contains domestic sized ovens, microwave, fridges (two with freezer compartments), kettles, toaster and a range of kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery for 40 people. Tea towels are provided.
Catering options are also available – please contact the hostel for further information.
The hostel has 38 beds: 3×4, 1×4/5 (double with single above), 2×5, 1×6 and 1×6 ensuite. All bed linen is provided.
There is space for 10 cars via steep narrow access with a hairpin turn. We are sorry but there is no parking for large coaches on site – there is nearby coach parking available, please contact the hostel prior to arrival for more information.
