Adhering to government guidance
For the foreseeable future, YHA Conwy will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only. If you are interested in staying before 25th March 2021 for a purpose which you believe is within current government regulations, please contact us to discuss your requirements. Bookings after 26th March 2021 can be made online as normal.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of the current government guidance on gatherings in self-catering accommodation. In making a booking with YHA (England & Wales) you are agreeing to adhere to the relevant government guidance that will apply at the time of your stay. Please bear in mind that the guidance may be different in England and Wales.

This modern building in north Wales has recently undergone refurbishment and now offers exceptional facilities with breath-taking views of the Conwy Valley.
A few minutes’ walk from the town centre and the medieval castle, this property is an ideal base for groups of all ages to enjoy the surrounding area of Snowdonia or relax on nearby award-winning beaches.

The self-catering kitchen contain 6 x 4 gas hobs with two grills, two gas ovens, two electric ovens, four fridges, a freezer, a microwave and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery – everything you need to cook up a storm for your group. A barbecue is also available if you wish to dine al fresco. A chest freezer can be organised by prior arrangement before arrival – please enquire on booking. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The combined dining room/lounge area seats 100 people. There is comfy seating for 16. There is a CD player, television, and a DVD player to keep you entertained during your stay. The games room has a pool table, football table, giant Connect 4 and various board games. There is also outdoor tables and chairs for guests to use, especially in the warmer months. Highchairs are also available.

YHA Conwy includes 86 beds (can have an additional 10 beds if using truckle beds):
Six two-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 1 set of bunk beds.
Eight four-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds.
One three-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 1 double bed with single bunk over.
One three-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed with single bunk over. With dedicated bathroom next door.
Ten four-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. These rooms have a truckle bed so can easily become a five-bedded room.
All bedlinen is provided.
All except 1 room are en-suite. The room without an en-suite has its own dedicated bathroom facilities. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
The town of Conwy is right on the hostel doorstep. There is Conwy Castle to explore, as well as the Smallest House in Great Britain, and quayside for a fish and chip supper.
The vibrant Llandudno seaside resort is located a few miles away.
Welsh Mountain Zoo, Greenwood Forest Park, Zip World and Surf Snowdonia are all a short drive away.
Need to know
The town of Conwy is made up of incredible Blue Flag beaches, the Great Orme, the Llandudno cable cars, golf courses, almighty big mountains in the Snowdonia National Park, magical castles, some amazing restaurants, pubs and a variety of outdoor activities.
And that is just for starters. There is plenty to see and do in Conwy for all desires.
There is ample parking in both the upper car park at the front entrance for 11 cars with 2 disabled bays and the lower car park for 20 cars. There is enough space for 2 coaches in the lower car park.
From the A55 Junction 16, this is the exit to Conwy town. Follow signs to Conwy town centre, drive through town on one-way system towards Bangor, then turn immediately left onto Mount Pleasant after the archway. At the “T” Junction turn right again. You are now on the Sychnant Pass Road. The hostel is approximately 150m on the left.
From the A55 Junction 17, this is the first exit after the Conwy tunnel. Follow signs to Conwy town centre on the A547. Turn right onto Mount Pleasant at town walls. At the “T” Junction turn right again. You are now on the Sychnant Pass Road. The hostel is approximately 150m on the left.
YHA Conwy welcomes dogs! Add a dog to your booking at check out and bring your four-legged friend along with you.
