The duty of care we have to our guests, beneficiaries, staff and partners compels us to progress and open our hostels with caution and careful consideration in the best interests of the charity and those it serves.
For the foreseeable future, YHA Gower will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

The self-catering kitchen contains two domestic cookers, two microwaves, three larder fridges, one chest freezer, one dishwasher, and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery for guests to use during their stay. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
There is a spacious dining room with seating for 32 people, with extra seating in the lounge. The hostel has a large lounge with sofas, TV, games, and books for guests to use during their visit to YHA Gower. Highchairs are also available.

YHA Gower includes 40 beds:
Burry Green includes 1 single bed. With shared bathroom facilities.
Horton is an accessible room with 3 sets of bunk beds and 1 single folding bed. With shared bathroom facilities.
Ilston includes 1 single bed with an en-suite.
Lunnon includes 2 sets of bunk beds and 1 single folding bed. With shared bathroom facilities.
Crofty includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Penrice includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Penmaen 1 includes 1 double bed. With shared bathroom facilities.
Penmaen 2 includes 1 double bed. With shared bathroom facilities.
Llanddewi includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Cwm Ivy includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Cheriton Bedroom includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Knelston Bedroom includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 9 showers and 11 toilets throughout the hostel. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
YHA Gower provides outdoor adventurous activities at a discounted price for residents. Activities include surfing and bodyboarding, SUPing, coasteering, climbing and abseiling.
There is easy access to the Coastal Path from the hostel, with many beautiful walks around the coast.
Archery is available a few miles away. A fun-filled day out for the family.

Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
There is plenty to see and do in Gower.
Just a short distance away from Swansea, the Gower Peninsula is the perfect holiday destination for all ages. It was UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956, and the area has been unspoilt ever since. From wild moors, rolling fells and limestone cliffs to magical beaches and coastal path, this place has it all. With plenty of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants to take your fancy, you certainly will not be disappointed.
The is parking onsite for up to 3 minibuses or 5 cars. Extra car parking available nearby.
Take Junction 47 from the M4 Motorway, take second exit A483 to Swansea, turn right at the roundabout onto A484 towards Gowerton. Take 3rd exit at roundabout towards Gowerton. Turn left onto B4295 towards Gowerton. At traffic lights turn right towards Penclawdd. Straight on at the mini roundabout. Stay on this road going through Penclawdd, Crofty, Llanmorlais. When you come to the Esso Garage as you enter the village of Llanrhidian turn sharp left on to the B4271. Go over the cattle grid and turn right on the bend going over Cefn Bryn and signposted to Port Eynon. Turn left signposted Port Eynon and at the junction turn right signposted to Port Eynon A4118. Once in Port Eynon after the sharp bend right take 1st left going past The Ship and the hostel is the last building on the right hand side.
No dogs are allowed at YHA Gower. Provisions can be made with prior arrangement with management of the centre for registered assistance dogs.
