For the foreseeable future, YHA Grinton Lodge will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

Please note: All prices are based on hiring the whole place per night.
Please be aware that when staying on Exclusive Hire at YHA Grinton Lodge, you may be sharing the site with other guests who will be staying in the camping and cabins facilities. These guests are situated in a separate area of the grounds with access to their own facilities during their stay.
YHA Grinton Lodge is surrounded by stunning scenery and exceptional views of the Yorkshire Dales. The hostel is just a 10-minute walk away from the village of Grinton.
For walking holidays, there is many walking routes throughout the Yorkshire Dales National Park for varying abilities, and for anyone doing the Coast to Coast walk, YHA Grinton Lodge makes for a well-deserved stop-off point. If you are on your mountain bike, set off from the hostel and choose a path to suit you.

The self-catering kitchen is equipped with two cookers, two microwave ovens, a toaster, one fridge, and an extensive range of kitchen utensils, baking trays, crockery, and cutlery sufficient for 34 people. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The dining room seats 45 people with dining tables and chairs. Two highchairs are also available. Additionally, the garden room seats up to 20 people on tables and chairs. The hostel also boosts a cosy lounge with multi fuel stove, sofas, chairs, tables, and window seats with pretty views, as well as a TV room with sofas and chairs.

The Swale Room includes 1 double bed with en-suite.
The Arkle Room includes 1 double bed and 1 set of bunk beds with en-suite.
The Cogden Room includes 3 sets of bunk beds with en-suite.
One four-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds.
Three two-bedded rooms. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One six-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds.
Eight four-bedded rooms. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Two six-bedded rooms. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One three-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed with single bunk over. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One two-bedded room. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 7 showers and 11 toilets within the hostel for guests to use. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.

Marrick Priory Lane is a quiet country lane ride past Marrick Priory ruins and outdoor centre, along the beautiful Swale River.

Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
Grinton, sitting on the banks of the River Swale, is a quaint village that is a popular destination for cyclists, walkers, and fishing enthusiasts. There is plenty of things to see and do for all ages and abilities around the area, such as spectacular walking and cycling routes, the medieval fortress that is Bolton Castle, and Forbidden Corner– a unique labyrinth of pathways, tunnels, chambers and galleries throughout the woods.

The hostel car park has space for 25 cars.
From Richmond take the A6108 Reeth road, continue for 2 miles, turn left onto the B6270 direction Grinton/Reeth and continue for 3 miles. On arriving in the village of Grinton turn left heading up the hill and the hostel is 500m up on the left-hand side.
