For the foreseeable future, YHA Hawes will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

This modern building makes a great base for those looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales. On the edge of the traditional market town of Hawes, home of the Wensleydale Cheese Factory, the cheese made famous by Wallace and Gromit, it is close to tourist attractions and activities plus key walking and cycling routes including the Pennine Way.
The self-catering kitchen contains three electric ovens, kettles, toasters, a large fridge and fridge freezer, microwave and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery for 45 people. Tea towels are provided. A full meals service available, including buffets (special diets can also be catered for) when booked in advance.
There are 52 beds to share rooms of 2 x 2 (en-suite), 4 x 2, 3 x 3, 1 x 4, 2 x 6, 1 x 7 and 1 x 8 beds. All bed linen is provided.
There is space for six cars on site and ample additional parking at offsite locations.
The hostel is located at the top of a steep rise on the B6255 (signposted to Ingleton), just off the junction with the A684 at the western end of the village.
Cycle from Garsdale – 6.2 miles, on RCR10 Yorkshire Dales Cycleway, NCR 68 at Garsdale.
Walking from the bus stop, the hostel is 5 minutes away, on the Herriot Way. The Pennine Way National Trail is 7 minutes away.
Dining room and lounge
The large dining room has ample seating and wonderful views, and there is a comfortable open-plan lounge leading off of the dining room which is a great space for parties and socialising.
There are seven showers, six toilets and plenty of washbasins, please bring your own towels.
There is a small private garden, and the building has central heating throughout. This property is suitable for children under the age of three years

Walking and cycling. Hardraw Force Waterfall (1.5 miles), Bolton Castle (12), Wensleydale Creamery (5 minute walk), Dales Countryside Museum (10 minute walk).
