In 4,000 acres of woodland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, YHA Holmbury St Mary Surrey Hills enjoys quiet surroundings, with panoramic views of the North and South Downs. The newly refurbished hostel is also ideally suited as a base to explore the Surrey Hills or walk the North Downs Way and Greensand Way. The rural location is only 30 miles from central London and major London airports, whilst nearby attractions include Mercedes-Benz World, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventure, Box Hill and Legoland.

Self-catering kitchen
The self-catering kitchen contains two free standing cookers, two grills, two ovens and eight hobs, microwave, small freezer, fridge, toaster, kettle and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery for 40 people. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The hostel has a large open plan dining room, which seats 30 people, and adjoined lounge which is perfect for relaxing after a busy activity-packed day. Highchairs are also available.
There is a large garden area with picnic benches for guests to enjoy, especially in the warmer months.

Ground floor all 4 toilets & 3 showers are shared
One two-bedded room. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Five four-bedded rooms. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
First floor
First floor all 4 toilets & 3 showers are shared

Please note that our beds are slightly shorter due to the size of our rooms. If this is a concern, please contact the hostel directly to discuss. All bedlinen is provided.
Bathrooms
There are 3 showers and 4 toilets close to the bedrooms on each floor for guests to use. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
Activities
There are ample cycling routes nearby, including Route 22 National Cycle Route.
Endless walking and hiking opportunities for all abilities around the surrounding area.
There is a park located 15-minute walk away from the hostel, perfect for the little ones to enjoy.

Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
Location
Surrounded by the beautiful Surrey Hills, the town of Dorking is full of plenty of things to see and do.
Wander around the quaint town and discover quirky arts and crafts shops and art galleries. Or get a bite to eat in one of the numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs and take a break from the pleasures of shopping and sightseeing.
Dorking has plenty of activities for all the family, such as the Dorking Sports Centre and the Meadowbank Playground and Soft Play, as well as fantastic outdoor spaces at National Trust locations like Leith Hill and Box Hill. There is something to see and do for everyone.
Parking
There is a car park with plenty of space for 10 cars.
Directions
From A12 turn off at Little Glemham. Turn right after 1.5 miles and go over railway crossing. At the junction by the village hall turn left. At crossroads go straight ahead up hill, YHA Blaxhall is directly in from of you.
