A must for dedicated walkers! This former quarry workers’ house, at the summit of Honister Pass, is in true mountain country with easy access to England’s highest peaks. Steep valleys stretch down from the mountains to Derwentwater to create a beautiful and distinctive landscape. There is a 400-year-old working slate mine next door which makes for the perfect day out for the family. There is no mobile signal or Wi-Fi, so YHA Honister Hause is great for a digital detox retreat.
