The duty of care we have to our guests, beneficiaries, staff and partners compels us to progress and open our hostels with caution and careful consideration in the best interests of the charity and those it serves.
For the foreseeable future, YHA Ingleton will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

YHA Ingleton is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, in the pretty village of Ingleton. Surrounded by magnificent countryside with caves, waterfalls, and mountains, the area is known for its walking routes and striking caves, with a famous waterfall trail that begins in the village.
What is great about YHA Ingleton?

The self-catering kitchen contains one large electric cooker with six rings, one separate gas oven, one microwave, one large fridge, one fridge/freezer and kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery for up to 70 people. Additional larger pots and pans can be supplied if requested at check in. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The dining room has seating for 50 people. Additional seating can be moved from self-catering kitchen to enable all guests to eat together. The main lounge also includes a sunroom and has five sofas and three easy chairs for guests to relax in. There is a smaller TV lounge, furnished with two sofas and two easy chairs. A DVD Player is available on request. Highchairs are also available.

YHA Ingleton includes 64 beds:
Seven four-bedded rooms. Includes 4 single beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Four six-bedded rooms. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Two five-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 1 double bed with single bunk over and 1 set of bunk beds.
One two-bedded room. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 6 showers and 9 toilets throughout the hostel, in addition to the two en-suite rooms. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
From family-friendly strolls, day long hikes in the countryside to urban tracks – there’s plenty to enjoy on two feet in Yorkshire.
The rolling hills and virtually traffic-free roads around the area makes for great cycling country while Gisburn Forest (20 miles away) has routes to suit all ages and mountain biking abilities.
Twisleton Scar is a single pitch cliff and is perfect for showing off your climbing skills.

On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am
There is plenty to see and do in Ingleton.
If you appreciate the great outdoors, Ingleton and the surrounding area has plenty to offer. Explore caverns and amazing water features, conquer rock faces, splash around underground, or take a dip in the open air – it is all here, whatever the weather.
If you are looking for something a little more relaxing, why not hop in the car and take a trip to the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland or Morecambe Bay – all a short drive from the hostel.
There is car parking on site for 10 cars only. Access is down a single-track lane. Coaches can park in the nearby Community Centre car park which is located on the way into the village.
By car: If you’re using the M6 from the north leave at J36 and travel east for 10 miles to Ingleton. If you are travelling from the south, leave at J34 and follow the signs to Ingleton for about 15 miles. The hostel is just off the A65 Skipton to Kendal Road so travelling from Leeds is no problem.
YHA Ingleton is located in Ingleton Village Centre, close to the Outdoor Pool and Children’s Play Area, once in the Village turn left in the village square (by Tangles Hairdressers) and follow the YHA signs down Sammy Lane (Left hand turn down a single track road before you reach the Fish & Chip Shop)
By rail: The Leeds to Morecambe train line stops at both Clapham & Bentham. Ribblehead train station is the closest stop on the Settle-Carlilse Railway. All are within approx. 10 minutes’ drive of Ingleton. For convenient bus connections to Ingleton, the best train stations are Settle or Lancaster. Taxis would need to be pre booked.
