For the foreseeable future, YHA Ironbridge Coalbrookdale will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

YHA Ironbridge Coalbrookdale is ideally located within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, home to 10 family friendly museums, littered with industrial archaeology and brimming with tea rooms, pubs, and eateries. Walk to the hands-on science attraction Ingenuity and visit the Blast Furnace where Abraham Darby’s new method of smelting iron sparked the Industrial Revolution.

The open plan self-catering kitchen looks out onto the dining room, which means you can still socialise whilst you cook. The kitchen is equipped with two gas ranges, one microwave, one toaster, one kettle, five fridges, one freezer and a good range of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery sufficient for 52 people.
Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The dining room comfortably seats 50 people. The cosy lounge includes comfy sofas and chairs to seat 40 with an additional small lounge with two sofas with a TV and DVD player. Extra chairs from the dining room can be bought in if you require a little more space.
There are 2 highchairs also available.

Two one-bedded accessible rooms with en-suite. Includes 1 single bed.
One four-bedded room. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One two-bedded room. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Four four-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds.
Two six-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds.
One eight-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 4 sets of bunk beds.
Four two-bedded rooms with en-suite. Includes 1 set of bunk beds.
All bedlinen is provided.
Most of the rooms are fully en-suite, however there 4 toilets and 2 shower rooms that guests can use. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
The garden is fully enclosed and is filled with sloping lawns and beautiful scenery. There is a terrace at the front of the hostel with outdoor seating which can be used, especially in the warmer months.
Immerse yourself in the history and its impact on the industrial revolution by visiting one of the ten museums dotted around Ironbridge.
Explore the River Severn by hiring a canoe or taking a raft trip.
Ramble or cycle through the stunning Shropshire Hills AONB.

Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
The town of Ironbridge is a tourist attraction with its huge bridge, quirky independent shops and trendy bars, cafes, and restaurants.
There is plenty to see and do in and around Ironbridge for all ages and abilities. There are 10 museums and attractions within the gorge area itself, so you can experience life as it was over 100 years ago through the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a recreated Victorian Town.
If you fancy an outdoors adventure, then explore the beautiful Shropshire countryside by foot or bike, or even take part in kayaking, canoeing and white water rafting along the River Severn.
There are car parking spaces on site for 10 -12 cars. Additional parking can be found 5 minutes’ walk away in the Museum of Iron car park. Please note that parking on site must be limited as emergency access is required.
From Telford centre or the M54 follow signs to Ironbridge. Pass through Ironbridge centre (passing the bridge on your left) and turn right at the roundabout to Coalbrookdale. YHA Coalbrookdale is ½ mile up this road on the right-hand side.
YHA Ironbridge Coalbrookdale welcomes dogs! Add a dog to your booking at check out and bring your four-legged friend along with you.
Please note: the hostel manager lives onsite, within the hostel building with separate access routes.
