Nestled at the end of a country lane in three acres of grounds, Land’s End stands in the beautiful Cot Valley. The building has 1920s period features, an open fire and enjoys sea views down the valley. Footpaths lead from the hostel to the coast and the village of St Just.
There is a well-equipped self-catering kitchen. The kitchen contains two electric ovens with separate grills/small ovens and four gas hobs each, two microwaves, two 4 slice toasters, two kettles, four fridges, a freezer and a range of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils for 33 people. There are two sinks and draining areas for washing up. Tea towels, cloths and washing up liquid are provided.
YHA Land’s End is ideal for groups of 15 to 25 people and a maximum of 33. Beds are arranged in 1×2 (bunk), 1×2 (double), 1×3 (bunk and a single), 1×2/3 (double with single above), 1×3/4 (double with single above and another single), 2×4 (2 bunks), 1×4/5 (1 double, 1 single and 1 bunk), and 1×6 (3 bunks) bed rooms with washbasins. One of the four bed rooms is en-suite and is accessed via steep stairs. All bed linen is provided.
There is parking in the grounds for 12 cars or six minibuses. There is parking for coaches ½ mile from hostel if arranged in advance.
Turn off the B3306 at Kelynack and follow the road through the farmyard and past the sign “Unsuitable for motors” – although narrow the road is tarmac and in good condition all the way to the hostel entrance. Follow this road without making any further turns until you reach the gate with “Letcha Vean”, YHA and Hostelling International signs.
The dining room and lounge are joined together and will seat up to 30. The lounge overlooks the garden and the dining room is connected to the self-catering kitchen by an enclosed veranda. Many rooms enjoy sea views.
There are five showers and five toilets. Please bring your own towels.
There is a large lawn with sea views, picnic tables and space for garden games. Our small woodland has abundant wild flowers in spring.
The property enjoys central heating, an open fire (please bring your own smokeless fuel), a drying room / surfboard store, payphone and has mobile phone reception in the grounds but not inside. YHA staff may be resident in the grounds. This property is suitable for children under the age of three years with one travel cot and two high-chairs on site. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Walking on coast path and West Penwith moors (stone circles), sandy beaches, seal and dolphin spotting. St Just village with pubs, cafes and galleries (half mile), surfing and swimming beach at Sennen Cove (4.5 miles), Geevor tin mine museum (4 miles), Minack open-air theatre and Porthcurno telegraph museum (7 miles), Penzance (8 miles), St Ives (15 miles).
