Nestled at the end of a country lane in three acres of grounds, Land’s End stands in the beautiful Cot Valley. The building has 1920s period features, an open fire and enjoys sea views down the valley. Footpaths lead from the hostel to the coast and the village of St Just.
What is great about YHA Land’s End?
Large private garden for playing games and eating out in.
20-minute walk to nearest beach at Cot Valley, or 15-minute drive to Sennen Cove.
Close to the South West Coast Path with walks in both directions.
The hostel has a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, containing two electric ovens with separate grills/small ovens and four gas hobs each, two microwaves, two toasters, two kettles, four fridges, a freezer, with a range of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils for 33 people. There are two sinks and draining areas for washing up.
Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The dining room and lounge are joined and will seat up to 30. The lounge overlooks the pretty garden and the dining room is connected to the self-catering kitchen by an enclosed veranda. Many rooms enjoy stunning sea views. Highchairs are also available.

YHA Land’s End includes 41 beds:
One two-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One five-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed, 1 set of bunk beds and 1 single bed. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One four-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds.
Two four-bedded rooms. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One four-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed with a single bunk over and 1 single bed. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One three-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed with a single bunk over. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One six-bedded room. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One one-bedded room. Includes 1 single bed. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
There are two large camping pods available to guests at YHA Land’s End. These pods sleep up to four people each with one double and two single beds for a comfortable night’s sleep. If you like camping, you will love this! These wooden pods are completely protected from the elements and they are heated. Mattresses and all bedding are included for your comfort. Each pod has its own individual decking area.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 5 showers and 5 toilets in the main hostel building with 2 showers and 2 toilets for our pods in separate facilities. Please bring your own towels. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
There is a large lawn with stunning sea views, picnic tables and space for garden games. Our small woodland has abundant wildflowers in spring.
Explore the South West Coast Path by bike or foot.
Take up surfing at Sennen Cove.
Visit mainland Britain’s most south-westerly point, Land’s End.
Need to know
Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
There is plenty to see and do in Land’s End. Visit a gorgeous garden one day, or perhaps something a little more adventurous– surfing, boat trips, water sports, cliff top walking… the possibilities are endless. Or if history and culture tickles your fancy, make sure to pay a visit to the historic castles, museums, and World Heritage Sites.
There is parking in the grounds for 12 cars or six minibuses. There is parking for coaches ½ mile from hostel if arranged in advance.
Turn off the B3306 at Kelynack and follow the road through the farmyard and past the sign “unsuitable for motors.” The road is narrow but is in good condition all the way to the hostel entrance. Follow this road without making any further turns until you reach the gate with “Letcha Vean”, YHA and Hostelling International signs.
YHA Land’s End welcomes dogs! Add a dog to your booking at check out or contact the property directly to bring your four-legged friend along with you.
