For the foreseeable future, YHA Leominster will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

A former workhouse of a Benedictine Monastery dating back to the 11th Century, YHA Leominster is now a well-equipped hostel. Come and stay to embrace the history of the area. Leominster is situated in the Marches, the disputed borderlands between Wales and England, fought over for centuries.

The self-catering kitchen contains two domestic sized cookers with electric hobs, one microwave, one fridge/freezer, two fridges, two kettles, and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery for guests to use during their stay. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The cosy lounge seats about 10 people on comfortable furniture and is adjacent to the dining room. The Gallery lounge on the first floor has seating for 7 TV, books, and games. The dining room is adjacent to the lounge. The seating can be arranged to suit with tables and chairs for 31 – we also have two high-chairs should you need them.

YHA Leominster includes 30 beds:
Four two-bedded rooms. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Four four-bedded rooms. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One three-bedded rooms. Includes 1 double bed with single bunk over. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 5 showers and 7 toilets close to the bedrooms. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
There is plenty of cycling opportunities around the villages, where you can stop off and satisfy your appetite at one of the village pubs. Surrounded by beautiful quiet country lanes, you can cycle away from all the traffic, perfect for all ages.
YHA Leominster sits close to the Mortimer Trail, with great walking routes through the Marches of England.
Ludlow Castle is a medieval ruined castle, set in wonderful Shropshire countryside, at the heart of a lively black and white market town.

On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
There is plenty of things to see and do in Leominster to suit all tastes and preferences.
The walking and cycling in the area are excellent and there are several National Trust properties nearby, along with museums, visitor centres and beautiful water gardens. You can visit the Queenswood and Leominster Country Park, or go for a round of golf at one of our local courses.
If you enjoy your food and drink, sample the cheese at Monkland Cheese Dairy, visit us during the Ludlow or Herefordshire Food Festivals, or take the Cider Route, a 20 mile cycle tour through some of the best cider producing country in the UK. Make YHA Leominster your chosen holiday location today.
There is parking onsite for 10 cars.
By car: Leave the A49 southbound at the first sign to Leominster, from the south, leave at the second roundabout, signed Leominster. Follow Mill St (A44) to the roundabout and the one-way system, along New St, Rainbow St and to the end of Burgess St. Go straight across into Church St. Follow the road to the church and then to the left and side past the council offices. The car park is situated at the end of this road.
By coach: The nearest coach stop is in Hereford, 19.3 miles away. Numerous bus services to Herford from the bus station 5-minute walk from the hostel.
By train: The station is 5-minute walk from hostel on the Manchester to Cardiff line. Trains to Hereford hourly 15-minute journey.
