A magical location for outdoor activities, family reunions and group trips, this newly converted barn is set high up in the Brecon Beacons in a very remote location with substantial outdoor space, including a barbeque area, fire pit and masses of woods, streams and fields for children to roam in!
YHA Llangattock Mountain Bunkhouse (Wern Watkin Bunkhouse) takes its carbon footprint very seriously and has been graded Gold by the Green Tourism Business Scheme. They have also been awarded a Goldstar 2013 for Greenest Hostel/Bunkhouse in the UK. You can take part in organised tours around the Youth Hostel and see the renewable technologies for yourself – you can even meet the horses who help to keep this location sustainable! You may even spot some of the local wildlife during your stay, the building itself is an important sanctuary for the Lesser Horse Shoe Bat which resides in its own accommodation on the top floor, complete with fire alrams and heating!

The self-catering kitchen is great for large groups. The kitchen is fully catering style equipped for 30 people including a stove, microwave, water boiler, toaster, freezer, fridges, cutlery, pans, glasses, crockery etc. Tea towels and cleaning materials are provided. Catering can be arranged by prior arrangement. In addition, there is a substantial dining area for thirty and space for outdoor eating for your group as well. The space is designed for your group to hang out together and socialised but can be adapted depending on your needs.
32 bunk beds arranged in 1×4 en-suite, 4×6 en-suite, 1×2 en-suite and 1×2 with a bathroom next door equipped for people with disabilities. Please note: We are limited to a 30 people despite having 32 beds. All bed linen is provided. You need to bring personal towels.

Do not go into Llangattock village whilst trying to find us – it’s nowhere near us!
There is seating for 30 people plus 3 sofas and a range of other seats.
7 showers and 10 toilets. Soap is provided. Please bring your own towels.
Full under floor central heating throughout. Substantial outdoor area with barbecue and fire pit. This hostel offers free Wi-Fi and phone calls. This property is suitable for children under the age of three years and a travel cot and high chair can be provided.
