Set just a short distance from the famous Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar, YHA Malham Annexe offers comfortable Pennine Way accommodation. With a prime location in the centre of the village, the hostel boasts pretty grounds and a vast range of bedroom types, including the recent addition of en-suite facilities.
There is so much to see and do, you will want to come back time and time again.

The self-catering kitchen is equipped with ample storage space in cupboards, two cookers, two microwave ovens, two toasters, one fridges, one fridge/freezer, with plenty of pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery available for our guests to use.
Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
The hostel has a bright and spacious kitchen and dining area which will seat 18-20 people with tables and benches. The lounge is in The Rookery a separate building, and is equipped with a TV, comfy sofas, and tub chairs. There are additional chairs to use if necessary. Highchairs are also available.

YHA Malham Annexe includes 34 beds:
One two-bedded room. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Four four-bedded rooms. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One six-bedded room. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared facilities.
Two two-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 1 set of bunk beds.
One five-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 1 set of bunk beds, 1 single bed and 1 double bed with single over.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 5 toilets and 5 showers close to the bedrooms. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
White Scar Caves boasts the longest cave tour in Britain, featuring stalagmites, Stalactites, and underground waterfalls. The cave offers people the chance to experience the natural wonders of the subterranean world without having to dress in special gear, while lights & paths guide the route.
Skipton Castle is one of the most complete and best-preserved medieval castles in England. Visitors can explore every corner of this impressive history-rich castle, which withstood a three-year siege during the Civil War. Climb from the depths of the dungeon to the top storey of the watch tower.
Raven Tree Top Adventure situated next to Airedire park in Skipton is a high ropes adventure course aimed at both adults and teenagers although they can accommodate most children over the age of 7 years. Zip lines, suspended bridges, balance beams, high wires and lots of other features complete the exhilarating woodland tour.

On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
Malham is a quaint village located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There is a stream weaving through the centre of the village and with stunning, limestone scenery, it has a picturesque charm.
The Yorkshire Dales is renowned for its walking terrain, and there are not many better reasons as to why than a visit to Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Formed by a melting glacier at the end of the last Ice Age, the unique limestone landscape of Malham Cove offers a tough ascent but one which is rewarded by superb views of the valley and village below. The area has also featured in the world-renowned Harry Potter films, drawing more attention to one of the wonders of Yorkshire.
Please note YHA Malham Annexe is within the same grounds as YHA Malham Main Building.
There is space on-site for 15 cars and additional parking can be found two minutes’ walk away in the village of Malham.
Arriving from Skipton, turn right off the A65 at Gragrave onto the Eshton Road, continue along the road for 7 miles passing through the villages of Airton & Kirby Malham. As you go down the hill towards the village, you will see the National Park Visitors Centre on your left-hand side. Continue through the village turning right over the hump backed bridge, the hostel car park is signposted, and 2nd left after the Lister Arms pub.
