For the foreseeable future, YHA Ravenstor will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

YHA Ravenstor is a magnificent National Trust country house set in 60 acres of its own grounds and boast spectacular views across the Peak District – you might not want to leave the site! For some fresh country air and the great outdoors, YHA Ravenstor is the perfect rural retreat.

The self-catering kitchen is well equipped with twelve hobs two small domestic ovens, one microwave, two toasters, two kettles, two large fridges and a good range of kitchen utensils, baking trays, crockery and cutlery sufficient for up to 70 people. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
Our large dining room can comfortably seat up to 50 guests, with stunning views across the ground and the valley beyond. The cosy lounge seats 15 guests with a mixture of comfortable chairs and sofas. The lounge also has a TV with freeview channels and an open fireplace for guests to enjoy. Highchairs are also available.

One two-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 1 set of bunk beds.
Two two-bedded rooms. Includes 1 set of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Four four-bedded rooms. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Three six-bedded rooms. Includes 3 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
Two eight-bedded rooms. Includes 4 sets of bunk beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One seven-bedded room. Includes 2 sets of bunk beds and 3 single beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One five-bedded room. Includes 1 double bed with single bunk over and 2 single beds. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
One three-bedded room. Includes 2 set of bunk beds and 1 single bed. With sink and shared bathroom facilities.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 7 showers and 9 toilets close to the bedrooms for guests with no en-suite to use. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
The Monsal Trail is less than a mile from the hostel, ideal for traffic-free, family cycling. There are countless, quiet lanes that are great for road cycling as well as many bridleways nearby, perfect for mountain biking.
Raven Tor, one of the largest limestone crags in the Peak District, is 5 minutes’ walk from the hostel. Within walking distance, there are also plenty of climbing areas in Cheedale and Cressbrook Dale. Horseshoe Quarry is a 10-minute drive from the hostel, with a huge range of sport climbing routes.
Explore the Peak District National Park by either foot or bike. The rolling hills, beautiful valleys, and the wildlife will be certainly something to capture in your memory.

Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
The idyllic hamlet of Miller’s Dale nestles beside the River Wye between Buxton and Tideswell. Miller’s Dale is set amongst the stunning surrounding landscape of the Peak District National Park.
There is plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding area. The most common activities include, exploring the rolling fells, climbing, caving, cycling, and visiting the Peak District’s popular landmarks such as Dovedale. The possibilities are endless.
Parking is located along the hostel’s driveway. There is parking for up to 30 cars.
From Buxton, take the A6, following signposts for Bakewell. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto B6049 towards Tideswell. Follow this road through Miller’s Dale, continuing towards Tideswell, turn right into hostel.
