The duty of care we have to our guests, beneficiaries, staff and partners compels us to progress and open our hostels with caution and careful consideration in the best interests of the charity and those it serves.
For the foreseeable future, YHA Rhossili will operate on an Exclusive Hire basis only, with contact-free check in.

Originally a Victorian village schoolhouse, YHA Rhossilli is an excellent base for groups visiting the Gower Peninsula, close to one of Britain’s best-known surfing beaches. On the edge of Rhossili Down, it’s ideal for group activity breaks with opportunities to enjoy surfing, kayaking, climbing, guided walks available close to the hostel.

The self-catering kitchen is well-equipped with one commercial cooker, one microwave, one larder fridge, one freezer, and a range of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery for 12 people. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.
Dining room and lounge
There is a large multi-activity room/dining area seating 13, and a small TV lounge area comfy sofas and doors opening onto the patio at the rear with great views of the surroundings. Highchairs are also available.

YHA Rhossili includes 12 beds:
Paviland includes 1 single bed. With TV and shared bathroom facilities.
Thurba includes 2 single beds and 1 set of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
Fall Bay Bedroom includes 2 single beds. With TV and shared bathroom facilities.
Mewslade includes 2 single beds and 1 set of bunk beds. With shared bathroom facilities.
There is one double sofa bed located in the lounge area for guests to use.
All bedlinen is provided.
There are 3 washrooms throughout the hostel. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.
We can provide outdoor adventurous activities at a discounted price for residents. Activities include surfing and bodyboarding, SUPing, coasteering, climbing and abseiling.
Easy access to Coastal Path with many beautiful walks around the coast.
Archery is available a few miles away from the hostel. Perfect family day out!

Check-in and Check-out times
On the day of arrival, the Hostel is available from 4.00pm. On the day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10am.
Rhossili is famous for its beautiful coastline and beaches and voted the best beach in the UK and is a favourite destination for walkers, surfers, and water sport enthusiasts. Around the headland you will find Mewslade Bay and Worms Head just some of the hidden jewels of the Gower Peninsula. YHA Rhossili is nestled within Rhossili Downs, which offer fantastic walking routes for all abilities and provides a panoramic view of Rhossili Bay which must be seen to be believed.

There is parking onsite for up to 4 minibuses or 9 cars. Extra car parking available nearby. There is no coach parking on site.
Take Junction 47 from the M4 motorway, take second exit A483 to Swansea, turn right at the roundabout onto A484 towards Gowerton. Take 3rd exit at roundabout towards Gowerton. Turn left onto B4295 towards Gowerton. At traffic lights turn right towards Penclawdd. Straight on at the mini roundabout. Stay on this road going through Penclawdd, Crofty, Llanmorlais. When you come to the Esso Garage as you enter the village of Llanrhidian turn sharp left on to the B4271. Go over the cattle grid and turn right on the bend going over Cefn Bryn and signposted to Port Eynon. Turn left signposted Port Eynon and at the junction turn right signposted to Port Eynon and Rhossili A4118. Go through Knelston and at Scurlage turn Right onto B4247 go through Pitton Cross and Pitton. At Middleton take the first turning right signposted Residential Centre, go up the narrow Old School Lane, at the cattle grid the house is on you right, through the gate to the site car park.
No dogs are allowed at YHA Rhossili. Provisions can be made with prior arrangement with management of the centre for registered assistance dogs.
