Self-catering in a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen contains a domestic cooker with oven, 2 four burner hobs, 2 small ovens, a microwave, kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. Washing up liquid and tea towels are provided.
13 x bunk beds and 1x double bed arranged across 3 bedrooms (bunk beds). All bed linen is provided.
2 x 6 person safari tents are available at YHA Tanners Hatch for bookings staying between April and October. They come at an additional cost of £148 per tent per weekend. Capacity with safari tents is 27 and capacity without safari tents is 15.
National Trust car park, £6.00 per calendar day. Free for National Trust members. Car park is ¾ mile away through woods. The hostel is only accessible by foot. 1 Blue badge vehicle can park at the hostel, but must be left there for the duration of the stay. Exclusive Hire groups may be able to bring one vehicle on one trip to the hostel to unload (this is by arrangement – please contact the hostel directly). It is a rough, muddy track – please ensure your vehicle is suitable. Don’t forget to bring torches. If you are using a Sat Nav to get to the hostel please use postcode RH5 6SR.
Low beamed downstairs. Lounge with real fire, sofas and armchairs. Dining room with woodburner, tables and wooden benches.
There are sinks in the bedrooms. Toilets and showers in a separate building outside. Please bring your own towels.
Large grounds enclosed by fence, surrounded by woodland. There are 2 areas for bonfires/barbeques – please bring your own barbeques/wood. This property is suitable for children under the age of three years.

If you’re walking from Box Hill and Westhumble train station, we recommend you have a map for this route:
Turn left out of station and follow the road to Badgen Farm, take the track on the left indicated by a YHA sign.
Pass the farmhouse on your right hand side and take the first right along a bridleway by the side of a barn.
Walk straight across the field to the gate on the other side and turn left onto the track.
The hostel is approx 400 metres up on the right hand side.
From the A24 in Dorking, take the A2003 Ashcombe Road and turn right at the T-junction towards Ranmore and Effingham.
At the top of the hill is Denbies Hillside National Trust car park – the nearest car park to the hostel – free to National Trust members.
From the car park cross over the road and turn left, walk along to Four Fox Cottages (on your right) and go through the gate by its side.
Take the central track indicated by the YHA signs, the hostel is approx 15 minutes walk through the wood.
