Accommodation

Just 50 metres from the sea and offering some of the best coastal views of any YHA hostel, YHA Treyarnon Bay is a lively, mid-sized hostel on the north Cornwall coast. Treyarnon Bay has a popular, family friendly beach, a great spot for bodyboarding and surfing, and the ever-popular seaside town of Padstow is just 4 miles away.

What is great about YHA Treyarnon Bay?

A short 10-minute walk to the next beach, Constantine Bay.

One of Padstow’s “7 Bays for 7 Days” – a perfect location to explore Padstow’s other beautiful beaches and Padstow itself.

Self-catering kitchen

The self-catering kitchen contains a domestic cooker with an oven, a microwave, a fridge and freezer and plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery for guests to use during their stay. Tea towels, bin bags, washing up liquid and soap are provided.

Dining room and lounge

There are 2 separate dining and lounge areas adjoined by an open arch way. The first area is by the bar with French doors to the front of the building, allowing access to the garden and far reaching sea views. The second area through boasts a home from home atmosphere. With comfortable armchairs, sofa, and an open fire there is plenty of room to accommodate everyone for a good game of cards or the opportunity to snuggle up for a bedtime story. We also have another room at the back of the building utilised as our breakfast room. Highchairs are also available.

One five-bedded room with en-suite. Includes 1 set of bunk beds and 1 double bed with single bunk over.

All bedlinen is provided.

Bathrooms

There are 11 showers and 14 toilets throughout the hostel for guests to use. Soap is available with every sink. Toilet paper is also provided.

Lusty Glaze Adventure Centre offers a thrilling range of extreme sports including surfing, coasteering, rock climbing, kite boarding and mountain biking.

Endless walking opportunities in the surrounding area, including the South West Coast Path.

Need to know

Location

The is plenty to see and do in Padstow to suit every taste and need. Padstow boasts stunning sandy beaches, endless walking and cycling opportunities across the South West Path and The Camel Trail, a charming working fishing port, and everything in between.

You can hire a boat out and go fishing, and the little ones can fish for crabs from the harbour wall. Or even ride the waves with guidance from one of the surf schools. When you start feeling peckish, grab a bite to eat at one of the many pubs, cafes, tearooms, and restaurants dotted around the area. Make sure to try out a true Cornish ice cream too! Parking

Parking is located on site. There are 20 parking bays. Coach parking is prohibited due to the roads to the hostel. Coaches should park at Constantine.

Directions

From Padstow take the B3276 towards St Merryn. Continue through St Merryn and take the first right turn after the crossroads towards Constantine. Follow the road until you reach “Twizzletwig” cottage. The junction to Treyarnon is 300m on from here on the right where you will see a sign for

the hostel. Continue down towards the sea and as you approach the beach, the beach car park is on your right-hand side. Drive past this and take the ‘private’ road past the public toilets. The hostel is signposted and located on the right through a wooden gate.

Please note: You need to take the private road to the left of the car park at YHA Treyarnon Bay, the hostel road has a very steep speed bump.

Dogs

YHA Treyarnon Bay welcomes up to 4 dogs! Add a dog to your booking at check out and bring your four-legged friend along with you.
